The 2022 Hyundai Venue is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. Derived from the platform of the Accent, it was Hyundai’s smallest crossover globally prior to the introduction of the Casper. The Venue debuted at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The Venue fits below the Kona or Creta, and above the Casper in Hyundai’s international lineup. Two versions of the Venue was developed and produced for different market. The Korean-made Venue is codenamed QX or QX1, while the Indian-oriented version is internally codenamed as QXi. The version is shorter in length and wheelbase than the Korean version, and built at the Chennai plant in India. The sloping roof profile reduces forward air flow resistance and rear spoiler effect for improved fuel economy and driving stability. The Venue is not marketed in Europe in favour of the European-focused, Hyundai i20-based Bayon which was introduced in 2021.
