The 2022 Suzuki Vitara Brezza is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by Suzuki. It was unveiled at the 13th Auto Expo in 2016. It is the company’s first attempt in the subcompact crossover segment and their fourth attempt in the SUV market after the Gypsy, Grand Vitara and SX4 S-Cross. The Brezza is the first Suzuki-branded car which was fully designed in India. It is based on the Maruti XA Alpha, a concept car first unveiled in 2012. It was also marketed by Toyota as the Toyota Urban Cruiser since 2020. As a first of its kind, with over three decades of constant improvement in design and performance, the Vitara name has blazed the way forward for compact SUVs. Now, four generations later, the all-new Vitara Brezza defies all the odds and continues to deliver on the exceptional.
The new 2022 Vitara Brezza’s 1.5 L engine is perfectly coupled with a premium and sporty luxury-fitted cabin to make sure your drive isn’t just good, it is the best.Since 2020, the turbodiesel engine option has been replaced by a 1.5 L K15B four-cylinder petrol engine option which produces 77 kW (103 hp; 105 PS) and 138 N⋅m (102 lb⋅ft) of torque. The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, both is equipped with SHVS mild hybrid system. The fuel economy is stated at 17.03 km/L (48.1 mpg‑imp; 40.1 mpg‑US) for manual transmission option and 18.76 km/L (53.0 mpg‑imp; 44.1 mpg‑US) for automatic transmission option.
Just when you thought that the Vitara Brezza couldn’t get any cooler, Suzuki turns the glovebox into a convenient cooler to keep your drinks at the perfect temperature no matter how long the trip (GLX only). A 7-inch touchscreen display enables intuitive operation of multimedia features including audio, hands-free phone, reverse camera and smartphone integration. Features can be selected from the four main operating modes – Listen, Call, Drive and Connect, and are compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink. In the event of emergency braking or when driving on slippery surfaces, the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) keeps tyres from locking and enhances the driver’s ability to avoid obstacles through steering. The Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) optimally distributes brake force to stop the vehicle from slipping and losing control, while the Braking-Assist (BA) reduces stopping distance during emergency situations.
