2022 Changan Raeton CC is a mid-size sedan produced by Changan Automobile. Despite using the same name, the Raeton CC has no connections with the regular Raeton which is Changan’s flagship and largest sedan. A concept car named the Changan Raeton CC concept was unveiled on the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show in China, but no visual connections have been made to the production version. The production Raeton CC rides on a different platform from the regular Raeton and is in fact slightly smaller and will be positioned below the regular Raeton sedan. The Raeton CC rides on a Changan-developed platform called the P3, which also underpins a crossover by Changan. Power of the Raeton CC comes from a 1.5 liter turbo engine with 155 hp and 225 Nm, mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission. In terms of chassis, the Raeton CC features front MacPherson-type independent suspension plus rear multi-link independent suspension.

Designed with proportion, mass, and car body posture in mind, every detail is executed with great care, creating an elegant appearance. Breaking with traditional 6×6 grille contours, this geometric shape produces a powerful visual impact. When the car is unlocked the headlamps and tail lamps will welcome you by flickering. When a car door is opened, the courtesy animation on the full-LCD instrument panel, atmosphere lamps, background light, one-key startup button indicator, and other interior features flicker in order. Raeton CC’s LED headlamps and tail lamps are designed to function uniquely. When the car is unlocked, its lamps will flicker.
Central console screen tilts 7.2° toward driver seat to prevent glare and strike a perfect balance between driving safety and operational feasibility. Laser engraved panel conspires with elaborate design to present visual and tactile appeal. Manually stitched interior trim offers soft, natural upholstery, available in brown or cream. 2022 Changan Raeton CC offers many intelligent vehicle systems including adaptive cruise control and In Call 3.0 remote security. Double 10.25-inch screens allow interaction with a variety of features such as navigation, music, and telephone. Information can easily be transmitted from the central console screen to the LCD instrument panel via leftward finger gesture. The driver is able to monitor information on a split screen while still concentrating on the road ahead.
2022 Changan Raeton CC was developed in collaboration with the Changan US R&D Center. Multiple advanced assembly technologies, a full-torque control system and its laser on-line testing system monitors car body precision. Raeton is built on a full-auto welding production line that employs an internal surface spray painting robot process, advanced automation assembly technology, and blue light scanning among other new technologies and devices. Chassis properties were tested and verified for high-quality driving capabilities. Changan tested quality to ensure that there are no defects in Raeton CC. Five rounds of road tests and verification of chassis reliability is equal to a 260,000 km continuous drive. Raeton CC is equipped with a Changan 1.5L turbocharged engine developed in accordance with international standards and codes. With maximum power of 115 kW at 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 225 N•m at 2,000-4,000 rpm, its turbocharge technology offers ultra-low fuel consumption. This gearbox has a valve body which uses electromagnetic fuel pumps to facilitate idling start and stop function.
