The 2022 Audi TT established itself as a style icon with its memorable first-generation design, and the current third-generation TT remains stylish today. The Audi TT is a 2-door production sports car made by Audi since 1998, and currently in its third generation. The Audi TT takes its name from the successful motor racing tradition of NSU in the British Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) motorcycle race. The 1938 Isle of Man Lightweight TT race was won by Ewald Kluge with a 250 cc supercharged DKW motor-cycle and the DKW and NSU companies later merged into the company now known as Audi. The Audi TT also follows the NSU 1000TT, 1200TT and TTS cars of the 1960s in taking their names from the race. The TT name has also been attributed to the phrase “Technology & Tradition”. The TT coupe and roadster pair up sports-car performance with all-wheel drive include the Porsche 718, BMW Z4, and Toyota Supra.

The 2022 Audi TT virtual cockpit is a fully digital 12.3″ instrument display that allows the driver to customize information such as navigation and audio. Take advantage of fully integrated and seamless assistance tools, including intelligent navigation, remote vehicle services, car finder, and roadside assistance. Experience peace of mind with security features, including emergency call and stolen vehicle locator. MMI touch with handwriting-recognition technology allows the driver to “write” their entry rather than selecting letters or numbers and more easily navigate maps by moving a finger across the touchpad. Your vehicle becomes a concert hall with the standard Bang & Olufsen® Sound System. Features 12 speakers with 680 watts of power.

The 2022 Audi TT is available in coupe and convertible bodystyles and offers either a base 228-horsepower TT or a more powerful 288-hp TTS model. Under the sculpted hood of the TT lies a 2.0L TFSI engine. Even though it’s not made for the racetrack, the TT is fun to drive; all-wheel drive is standard, as is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The TT Coupe is a quintessential Audi design icon boasting a driver-focused interior with exceptional integration of technology and infotainment, while still delivering true sports-car performance. The TT carries over into what may be its final model year with a sleek, low-slung design that carries hints of its former Art Deco glory. The car’s front seats have ample space and swell support, with nappa leather upholstery and heating. The back seats may as well be deleted; they are, on the roadster. The trunk’s small. Plan ahead, and travel lightly.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine lives under the hood of the TT, and it generates 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The TTS gets a beefed-up version of this engine that’s tuned to deliver 288 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Both cars use a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with Quattro all-wheel drive. The TT is more about looks than outright performance, so we would opt for the base TT coupe rather than the more expensive TTS. (If you really want a powerful TT, go with the thrilling five-cylinder TT RS with nearly 400 hp.) The EPA has not yet rated the 2022 TT. Last year, both body styles of the Audi TT achieved fuel economy of 23/31 mpg city/highway. For the 2021 TTS, the EPA estimated gas mileage of 23/29 mpg.

The 2022 Audi TT Coupe features a permanent quattro® all-wheel drive system that constantly adjusts and fine-tunes the torque distribution to help improve the grip on the road. The S tronic® dual-clutch automatic transmission excites with exceptionally quick shift times and the ability to manually shift via the steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. With Audi drive select, it’s easier than ever to take charge of the road ahead. Four modes—Dynamic, Comfort, Auto and Individual—adjust your vehicle’s steering effort, transmission shift times and throttle response. Parking system plus uses front and rear acoustic sensors to help detect when you are close to another object. With the rear-view camera, the Audi MMI® display provides a rear view of the parking situation, helping increase driver comfort when parking or leaving—especially in tight spaces.Standard on the TT Coupe, Audi side assist helps you when changing lanes. Thanks to radar sensors in the rear bumper, the system monitors traffic in the driver’s blind spot.
