Back in 1984, Steve Saleen upgraded a Fox Body Mustang with a sweet body kit, added a Racecraft suspension, larger wheels and tires, and a big-ass wing, among other cool bits. It was an instant hit and won races at the track and on the streets. Fast forward 35 years and despite plenty of business-related twists, turns, and detours along the way, his early Fox-body machines have become bonafide collectables, and his SN95 efforts aren’t far behind. With the blessing of the Ford Motor Company, Saleen has also produced hot rod versions of the F-150 pickup, Explorer and Focus hatchback, and for a while even the mid-engined S7 supercar. On June 26, 2013 Saleen Automotive, Inc became public through a reverse merger. It is listed on the OTC Bulletin Board and is controlled and majority owned by Saleen brand founder Steve Saleen.

The 2021 Saleen Mustang S302 is just the latest in a long line of exceptional vehicles that Saleen has designed and manufactured. The current generation Saleen S302 has raised the ante in the GT category. Wind tunnel tested aero dynamics, a race proven suspension, and increased horsepower make this vehicle a serious contender. The Saleen White label now comes standard with 500HP! No other vehicle on the market offers this type of performance for the money. For those that desire even more power, Yellow Label puts out 745HP, and chart topping Black Label makes an astonishing 800HP. The 302 is available as either a Fastback or a Convertible, but both of these enjoy the same engine and other parts.

Inside, the White Label looks a lot like a similarly priced 2021 Mustang GT Coupe Premium trim model minus the leather-trimmed seats. The Saleen windshield sticker and custom grille with a thin red accent will further announce the car’s specialness, as will that throaty growl emanating from the custom exhaust and mufflers. It also featured a sporty Saleen steering wheel in leather and suede, white face gauges, a billet shifter, Saleen quarter window covers, and B-pillar trim. The limited-production car also sports a serialized dash plaque and embroidered floor mats to let any passengers who happened to completely overlook the exterior cosmetics know this isn’t your garden-variety Mustang.

Like all of the 2021 Saleen Mustang S302 White label, the Black Label version boasts a 302CI 4-valve DOHC V8 engine. It outputs a tremendous 800 horsepower and 630 ft.-lb.s of torque – heads will turn everywhere you go in this magnificent vehicle. This version of the Saleen 302 also has a number of other features that are not available on the White or Yellow labels. These include the following: a front air vane with brake cooling, high downforce carbon fiber air splitter, Saleen’s center induction hood and heat extractor hood vents and carbon side skirts. The Black Label Mustang comes standard with silver Monaco 5-spoke alloy wheels (20″ x 9.5″ in the front and 20″ x 11″ in the back) that can be swapped out for chrome or carbonite.
