The Koenigsegg Agera RS pushes the boundaries and takes the Agera to all new levels of performance. With focus on track aptitude, the RS utilizes advanced technology from the One:1 program while maintaining all the features and functionalities of previous S and R models, and beholds the Agera’s everyday usability, luggage compartment, rear window, detachable and storable hardtop. The Agera RS was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, along with the prototype version of the Regera. The last Agera RS rolled off the production line on 4 April 2018. The Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engine sports car produced by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. It is a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name comes from the Swedish verb ‘agera’ which means “to act” or in imperative form “(You) act!”. The Agera ceased production in July 2018 with the unveiling of the two final edition cars at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It was succeeded by the Jesko in 2019.

Examples of available RS enhancements are; advanced lightweight sound insulation, new track optimized front splitter, front winglets, side skirts, advanced dynamic underbody flap system and a dynamically active rear spoiler for added down force, which is now up to 450 kg at 250 km/h. The RS also features improved side air outlets behind the front wheels, increased power and raised rpm limit. Even with all the additional functionality and equipment, we have managed to lower the curb weight, compared to the R and S versions, using advanced chassis and body composites and lay-up. On top of the standard equipment, the Agera RS also offers the option to choose Koenigsegg active and self-levelling chassis package, 3G connected Pre-Active chassis setups, alternative aero package, active sound cancellation and much more.

The engine – like the previous Agera S version – has been optimized for regular pump gas and now puts out an incredible 1160 Bhp on regular petrol. Given the 5 liter engine volume, this gives an astonishing 232 Bhp per liter with perfect reliability. The 5.0-litre V8 engine now has a power output of 1,176 PS (865 kW; 1,160 hp) on regular pump gasoline. The optional 1-megawatt package increases the engine’s power to 1,360 PS (1,000 kW; 1,341 hp). The Agera RS was initially going to be limited to 25 units, however another two were built, one being the factory development car and one as a replacement for a customer car damaged while it was being used for shakedown testing. On certain markets the Agera RS can also be upgraded to run on E85 with flex fuel capabilities, for even higher power levels.

Koenigsegg Automotive AB is a Swedish manufacturer of high-performance sports cars, based in Ängelholm, Skåne County, Sweden. The company was founded in 1994 in Sweden by Christian von Koenigsegg, with the intention of producing a “world-class” sports car. Many years of development and testing led to the CC8S, the company’s first street-legal production car which was introduced in 2002. In 2006, Koenigsegg began production of the CCX, which uses an engine created in-house especially for the car. Koenigsegg develops and produces most of the main systems, subsystems and components needed for their cars in-house instead of relying on subcontractors. In January 2019, Koenigsegg sold a 20% stake in the company to Swedish electric car manufacturer (Egstrand & Lundgren), National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), for US$171 million.
